Our Policies

To ensure your pups utmost satisfaction and care please take a moment to review the policies.

• Matted Dogs

  • I will only dematt to a certain extent. If I believe the matting is too extensive or will be painful to remove with shaving then I will not demote.

  • For extreme cases severe matting will result in your pup being shaved down. How short depends on the length that safely gets under the matting.

• Flea and Ticks

  • If I notice any fleas live or dead as well as any ticks your pup will automatically be given a flea and tick bath. Any ticks will be safely removed. A small fee may be added to cover costs of special shampoo and cleaning supplies.

  • For extreme cases where the infestation looks to be causing health issues the service will be paused and a vet visit will be required before any continuation of services.

• Vaccinations

  • All dogs over 16 weeks of age are required by the state of California to have a rabies vaccination. Proof of vaccination must be provided before the start of the appointment.

  • For special cases where your pup cannot receive a rabies vaccination a titer test or doctors note can be accepted in place of the rabies vaccination.

• Rescheduling/Last Minute Cancellations

  • Life happens. I understand. If you are unable to make your appointment or are running late please reach out as soon as possible. Any repeat no shows or last minute cancellations will result in a deposit that will be required to book any future appointments. Deposit will be 50% of the appointment cost and will be applied toward the appointment. Failure to show will result in lost deposit.

• Confirmations

  • A text will be sent out the day before the appointment to confirm the time. If for any reason you cannot make the time or appointment please reach out as soon as possible. Failure to confirm your appointment may result in the appointment being rescheduled.

• Photos and Videos

  • There is a chance that your pup will be photographed or have their video taken during their grooming session. These pictures/recordings will be uploaded so social media sites.

  • If you do not want your pup photographed please let me know at the start of the appointment.

• Dog with Special Circumstances

  • Senior dogs are subject to a comfort groom only. I will only fulfill services at the comfort of your pet. If your pet seems to be getting to stressed or struggling for certain parts of their groom those parts may be skipped for your pups health.

  • Aggressive dogs will be handled as safely and carefully as possible. The use of muzzles or cones may be required depending on the circumstance. If it is deemed too unsafe to complete the groom due to your pups behavior the appointment will be stopped and may need to be rescheduled for a different time.

  • Sedated dogs must be able to stand and support their weight. If your pup seems to be out of it and unable to stand the appointment will be stopped and rescheduled for a different time.

• Accidents and Injuries

  • Since I work with live animals in the event an accident or injury may occur the pet parent will be notified as soon as possible. I never want any pup to be injured however accidents do happen. If it is deemed to be a severe accident that may require veterinarian assistance the pet parent will be called to see where the pup needs to be taken. If the pet parent cannot be reached your pup will be taken to the nearest emergency vet.
